Attention ALL Sophomores and Juniors Interested in enrolling in the 2018-19 Wilderness Leadership Course: You must complete an enrollment essay and have parent permission if you are thinking about taking this class. Please see Mr. Scharp in room #12 to sign up and receive enrollment materials. Let the adventures begin!
Got Talent? The Kingsley Area Talent Show is scheduled for Saturday, April 21 at 7 p.m.. Auditions will be after school beginning at 3:30 p.m. April 10 in the band room. We hope to see your talent on stage. Any questions? Please see Mrs. Street or any volunteer club member.
Attention Creative Writers!!!: Anybody interested in joining the creative writing club needs to fill out a sign-up sheet in the office and turn it in to Ms. Knight before Spring Break. The first meeting will be held the Tuesday after Spring Break in Ms. Knight's room from 3:10 - 5:00 p.m.
Attention Wilderness Students: The Record Eagle Reporter will be here Tuesday to tour the School Forest. Be prepared to go outside and put up the blue-bird and kestrel nest boxes.
Attention Student Council and Travel Club: Please stop by Mrs. Lint's room to sign up for ticket taking for the spring sports events. Travel club member can earn money towards their trip. Student council: some of you have not fulfilled your obligations, sign up and fulfill it. There are 4 home events the first week we get back.
Congratulations to all Solo & Ensemble participants. All received the highest rating of a First Division at the State level competition. Amanda Pavlik, Noah Skrypczak, Kristie Pace & Jack Rinehart- Sax Quartet Garrett Peacock, Elaina Abarrak & Amanda Pavlik- Sax trio Payton Taylor, John Hartman, Nick Lewis, Charlie Lint & Luke Siderman- Brass Quintet Elaina Abarrak & Garrett Peacock- Sax Duet Jack Rinehart- Alto Sax Proficiency 3 (the toughest) 99 out of 100. He was nominated by the adjudicator to audition for the Michigan Youth Arts Festival Concerto Competition. This is the only Kingsley musician to received this great honor. The comments from Jack's adjudicator included "Such amazing control!" , "It is refreshing to hear such artistry at this level" and "Bravo!"
Teacher Academy: Meeting this Thursday, March 22nd, during first lunch in Mrs. Bauer's room.
Travel Club: Please turn in your signed paperwork ASAP. Remember, work Bee after school on Wednesday to get some things done for April in Paris. Emma Lajko, Tyler McQueer, Morgan Fulker - You are behind and need to see Ms. Suomi as soon as possible.
Spanish II students: Friday is the end of the marking period. If you are going to miss class and/or need to make up Alejandro questions from last week, the make-up day is Thursday AC. Please note: This is a change from the original date which was Wednesday and is a result of a class scheduling conflict. If you have questions, see Ms. Suomi immediately.
